Filipe Andrade
I’m Portuguese, I live by the beach and I love eating seafood. I grew up with a fantastic family that loves art and has been pushing me further and motivating me to draw since I was a little kid. I’ve got a degree in Sculpture, from Lisbon’s Fine-Arts Academy, and I’ve studied illustration and script writing in Portugal as well as pre-production in Gnomon, California. I’ve always loved to travel and meet new places and people and through that I’ve been in several festivals both in Europe and in the U.S., which allowed me to broaden my contacts within the industry. Back home, I met C.B. Cebulski, during one of his ChesterQuest international talent searches, through whom, in 2009, I published my first work in Marvel, in ‘Iron-Man: Titanium’. Since then, I’ve drawn characters such as X-23, Captain America, Black Widow, Wolverine, Moon Knight, Nomad and John Carter. Today I consider myself pretty lucky because I’m still living by the beach, eating seafood and doing what I like the most, comics.
